Mesa Verde

The park's archaeological museum is open every day of the year and houses artifacts uncovered in and around Mesa Verde. Spruce Tree House is the third largest cliff dwelling in the park and is open all year long. Cliff dwellings are only accessible when accompanied by ranger guides.  Camping, lodging, and gasoline are not available in the park during the winter months. Visitors should contact the park at (970) 529-4461 or (970) 529-4475 for the latest information on schedules and weather and road conditions.

Mesa Verde is located approximately 8 miles east of Cortez, Colorado and is about an hour's drive from Durango, Colorado.
